Terms of service

Effective 2026-09-03. These terms are the agreement between you and sharehtml.org.

Plain summary: you may upload HTML you have the right to share; we host and serve it as-is; you are responsible for what you upload; we remove content that breaks the acceptable use policy or the law; the service is provided as is; disputes are handled in Pune, India.

1. Who may use the service

You must be at least 18 years old, or at least 13 with the consent of a parent or guardian, and have the legal capacity to agree to these terms. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it.

2. What the service does

sharehtml.org is a file-sharing service that turns a single HTML file into a link. We store the file you upload and serve it, unmodified, at an address under sharehtml.org. Free accounts and anonymous uploads get the limits listed on limits. Pro subscriptions get the limits and features listed on pricing.

3. Your content and the licence you grant

• You keep all rights to what you upload.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, copy, cache and transmit your content only as needed to host and serve it, and to scan it for abuse. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for backups and takedown records kept as described in the privacy policy.
• You confirm that you have the rights needed to upload the content and that it complies with the acceptable use policy.
• If an AI tool added a label saying the content is synthetically generated, keep the label in the file.

4. Accounts, anonymous pages and manage keys

• Signing in uses GitHub or Google. You are responsible for that account's security.
• Anonymous uploads are controlled by a manage key shown once. Whoever holds the key controls the page. We cannot recover a lost key; you may be able to claim the page by signing in from the same browser.
• API tokens act as you. Revoke them from the dashboard if exposed.

5. Retention and removal

• Pages are kept until you delete them. There is no expiry and no inactivity sweep.
• When you delete a page its bytes are removed and its address stays reserved.
• We may hold, remove or block a page without notice when it appears to violate the acceptable use policy or the law, or when we receive a valid legal order or takedown notice. Removed pages are gone for good and their content is blocked from re-upload.
• Repeat uploads of removed content lead to a ban of the source.

6. Pro subscriptions

• Pro is billed monthly or yearly through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record.
• Cancel any time. Pro features last until the end of the paid period. Nothing is deleted on downgrade; pages above free limits stay up but cannot be added to.
• Refunds are described in the refund policy.
• Prices may change with 30 days notice by email; the change applies from your next renewal.

7. Your obligations

You agree not to upload anything listed in the acceptable use policy, not to circumvent limits, not to probe or disrupt the service, and not to use it for anything unlawful in India or in your country.

Breaching these terms or the acceptable use policy can result in immediate suspension or termination of access, removal of content, and, where the law requires, reporting to the relevant authorities. We will remind users of this at least once every three months, as India's IT Rules require.

8. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, sharehtml.org and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify sharehtml.org and its operator against claims, damages and costs arising from content you upload or from your breach of these terms.

11. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time and delete your pages and account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, with or without notice. Sections 3, 5, 8, 9, 10 and 13 survive termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on the changelog and, for account holders, by email, at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.

13. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-law rights in your country.
